Federal Health Minister and local MP Greg Hunt is “deeply disappointed” the Victorian government has refused to delay assessing the environmental impact of AGL’s proposed gas-import terminal at Western Port until coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

Resident groups, lawyers and environmentalists had urged Planning Minister Richard Wynne to pause the process because community members could not effectively participate – including reviewing the 11,000-page impact document and having independent experts assess the project site – during stage four lockdown.
