AGL’s heinous proposal: AGL plan to permanently moor a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) at Crib Point jetty in Western Port Bay.
This floating gas facility is a whopping 300m long x 45m wide!
With large ships coming in and out of the bay, the Whales, Dolphins, Seals and other critters that call our bay home are in danger.
On top of that, the regasification process sucks in 450 million litres of organism rich seawater PER DAY, chlorinates it and spews out sterile water 7 degrees cooler than the ambient sea temperature!
